A Message from Our General Manager

Dear Scholars and Families:

Welcome to The ASK Academy, where we develop quality scholars who possess the Attitudes, Skills, and Knowledge needed in this 21st Century society. Our educational philosophy focuses on seminars, 21stCentury technology, and project-based experiences. ASK is an innovative culture for scholars in 7th through 12th grades where we re-engage a culturally-diverse population of learners into the learning process. Our Career Pathways program encourages scholars to choose an area of interest so they can focus their efforts on their future career of choice.

In only four years, our Scholars and Project Managers have earned first place in the RoboRave and received an invitation to participate in the Clinton Global Initiative in Chicago. We have the 2012 Charter School Teacher of the Year, one of our Project Managers was a Teacher of the Year Finalist in New Mexico, and one of our staff members was a Gilder Lehrman fellow at Stanford University. We won third place at the Regional Science Fair, one of our graduates was invited to the U.S. Air Force Academy, our middle school team won the Regional Vex Robotics Competition, our high school and middle school team won the State Vex Robotics Competition, our high school team was selected to represent New Mexico at the Vex Robotics World Championships in Anaheim, CA, 10 ASK high school and middle school teams competed at the RoboRAVE International Competition, and we were awarded $230,000 from the New Mexico legislature for capital improvements, just to name a few of our accomplishments!

Additionally, we have numerous club activity opportunities for scholars in the areas of chess, archery, running, robotics, National Honor Society, National Junior Honor Society, art, dance, Spanish, scholar council, magic, and a movie club!
Please take the time to get to know our unique and excellent school by navigating through the pages of this website and by visiting us. Also, please feel free to contact me if you have any questions. In addition, all current and prospective families are invited to attend the monthly General Manager’s Coffee and the Learning Walks. Please take the time to learn more about what we have planned at The ASK Academy and to ask questions, so that we can continue to work together to make our campus a school of excellence!

In addition to our recent State Report grade of “A”, we will be adding 6th grade to our school for the 2015-2016 school year, and we will be moving to a new and larger facility. Yes, these are exciting times for The ASK Academy! Please take the time to get to know us and, as always, please contact us if we can be of assistance to your son/daughter.

Sincerely,

Paul Reeves
