Parade begins at 5:30 at Shiming Stars Preschool - Spectators can line up along Rockaway Blvd to cheer.

Dear Families and Graduating Class of 2020,

Below are the details:

5:30 PM: Scholars and their family (one vehicle per scholar) will meet at Shining Stars Pre School on the corner of Rockaway and Northern. Since many of you started your education there, we felt it was fitting to begin the parade at that spot. Please dress your vehicles for the occasion (but do so at home before we meet)! From there, you will be escorted in your vehicle to The ASK Academy Campus. There, you will wait in line in your cars and drive through the parking lot and have your diploma handed off to you by Mr. Busse.

Some rules and expectations:

-Come dressed in your graduation regalia.

-Arrive on time to the meeting spot at Shining Stars Pre School.

-Only one vehicle per graduate is allowed to be part of the parade.

-One graduate per car.

-The graduate may not be the driver and should be in the front passenger seat.

-The number of passengers cannot exceed the number of seatbelts in the car.

-You will not be allowed to exit your cars at Shining Stars, or while on ASK campus.

-You may not stop your car on campus other than while in line awaiting a diploma.

-Additional friends and family cannot be on campus, nor can they see you off on Shining Stars campus. They can park along the way (we will travel down Rockaway up to 528 then right to Sundt and up Sundt to the academy) and honk as you go by, but we have to maintain social distancing and follow the rules put in place by the governor. Please do not congregate in groups of more than 5.

-The graduate and everyone in the vehicle must be wearing a mask.

-You may decorate your car (we encourage it!) but just make sure to do it at home. Do not wait to decorate it in the parking lot of Shining Stars, because we were able to use that lot as a starting point with the promise that students and family members would not get out of their vehicles.

-For the first and only time in ASK history, you can decorate your cap!

-There will be a photographer from MJ Thomas Photography. One complimentary photo of the graduate will be available to order.
